Data Protection
DATA PROTECTION DECLARATION
The use of our website is generally possible without providing personal data. When personal data (for example name, address, or email addresses) is collected, it is, as far as possible, voluntary. Personal data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent. We would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g., communication by e-mail) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible. The use of the contact data published within the scope of the imprint obligation by third parties for sending unsolicited advertising and information material is hereby expressly prohibited. We expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited advertising information being sent, for example through spam.
SCOPE
This Data Protection Declaration informs users about the type, scope and purposes of the collection and use of personal data on this website by the responsible provider: Dorn de Carvalho & Partners International – Training & Coaching, 36039 Fulda – Germany (Mail: hello@dorndecarvalho.com). The legal basis of data protection can be found in the General Data Protection Act. In this policy the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the company dorndecarvalho.
ACCESS DATA/SERVER LOG FILES
We, or our web space provider Domain Factory -> Privacy Policy of Domain Factory, collect data about every access to the offer (so-called server log files). Access data include: name of the accessed website and file; date, time, and duration of the access; transferred data volume; notification of successful access; browser type and version; the user’s operating system; referrer URL (the previously visited page); IP address; and the requesting provider. Dorn de Carvalho & Partners uses the log data only for statistical evaluations for the purpose of operation, security, and content optimization. Dorn de Carvalho & Partners reserves the right, however, to check the log data if there is a justified suspicion of illegal use based on concrete evidence.
HANDLING OF PERSONAL DATA
Personal data is information that can be used to identify a person, i.e., information that can be traced back to a person. This includes your name, email address, or telephone number. It also includes data about preferences, hobbies, memberships, and which websites you viewed. Personal data is only collected, used, and passed on by the provider if this is legally permitted or if the users agree to the data collection.
ESTABLISHING CONTACT
When contacting Dorn de Carvalho & Partners (e.g., via contact form, e-mail, telephone, or fax), the user’s details are stored for the purpose of processing the inquiry and responding to follow-up questions.
COMMENTS AND CONTRIBUTIONS
When users leave comments on the blog or other posts, their IP addresses are stored. This is done for the security of Dorn de Carvalho & Partners. If someone writes illegal content such as insults or forbidden political propaganda, Dorn de Carvalho & Partners itself could be prosecuted for the comment or contribution and is therefore interested in the identity of the author.
INTEGRATION OF THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND CONTENT
It may happen that third-party content, such as videos from YouTube, maps from Google Maps, opinion survey tools, RSS feeds, or graphics from other websites, is integrated within this online content. This always presupposes that the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as “third party providers”) have the IP address of the users. Without the IP address, they could not send the content to the browser of the respective user. The IP address is therefore required for the display of this content. We make every effort to use only content from providers that use the IP address solely for the delivery of the content. However, we have no influence on whether the third-party providers store the IP address, e.g. for statistical purposes. As far as we know, we inform the users about this in the following.
COOKIES
Cookies are small files that enable the user’s access device (PC, smartphone, etc.) to store specific information relating to the device. They can make web pages more user-friendly, for example by storing your login data so you don’t have to enter it every time you want to access the site. Cookies are also used to collect statistical data on the use of the website and to analyze it for the purpose of improving the content and making more attractive offers. Users can influence the use of cookies. Most browsers have an option to restrict or completely prevent the storage of cookies. Note that this choice can limit the use, and especially the ease of use, without cookies. You can manage many corporate online ad cookies through the US site http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU site http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-adchoices/.
REGISTRATION FUNCTION
If you enter data during registration, it will be used for the purpose of using the offer. Users can be informed by email about information relevant to offers or registration, such as changes to the scope of offers or technical circumstances. The data collected can be seen in the input mask during registration. This commonly includes first and last name, postal address, email address and the entity’s purpose for collecting them.
PROTECTION TOOL: SHARIFF SOLUTION
So-called “social plugins” are used on our websites. Currently these include clickable logo buttons from Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Via these plugins, data, including personal data, can be sent to the respective service providers (also outside Germany or Europe) and used by them. Dorn de Carvalho & Partners does not itself collect any personal data using the social plugins (described in more detail below) or about their use. To prevent data being transferred to service providers without the user’s knowledge, Dorn de Carvalho & Partners uses the so-called Shariff solution. This solution ensures that no personal data is initially passed on to the providers of the individual social plugins when you visit our websites. Only when you click on one of the buttons of the social plugins, can data be transferred to the service provider and saved there. More information about the Shariff solution can be found at http://www.heise.de/ct/artikel/Shariff-Social-Media-Buttons-mit-Datenschutz-2467514.html (in German)
FACEBOOK BUTTONS
This site uses social plugins (buttons) of the social network facebook.com, which is operated by Meta Platforms Inc, 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, 94025 California/USA. The plugins can be identified by one of the Facebook logos (e.g. white or blue “f” or a “thumbs up” sign) or are marked with the addition “Facebook Social Plugin” or “Share on Facebook”. When a user clicks such a button on a website of Dorn de Carvalho & Partners, their browser establishes a direct connection to Facebook’s servers. The content of the plugin is then transmitted directly from Facebook to your browser and integrated into the website. Dorn de Carvalho & Partners therefore has no influence on the amount of data Facebook collects with the help of this plugin, and therefore directs users to the following knowledge: by clicking on the button, Facebook receives information that a user has called up the corresponding page. If the user is logged into Facebook, Facebook can assign the visit to the user’s Facebook account. When users interact with the plugins, for example by pressing the Like button or making a comment, the corresponding information is transmitted directly from the user’s browser to Facebook and stored there. If a user is not a member of Facebook, it is still possible for Facebook to obtain and store their IP address. According to Facebook, only an anonymized IP address is stored in Germany. The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook, as well as the relevant rights and setting options for the protection of users’ privacy, can be found in Facebook’s data protection information: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/. Users who are Facebook members and do not want Facebook to link personal data collected via plugin to their membership data stored on Facebook must log out of Facebook before visiting the website.
LINKEDIN BUTTONS
Our website uses buttons from the network LinkedIn. The provider of the functions is LinkedIn Corporation, 1000 W Maude Ave, Sunnyvale, CA 94085, USA. When a user clicks such a button , a connection to LinkedIn servers is established. LinkedIn will then inform you that you have visited our website (dorndecarvalho.com) with your IP address. If you click on the “Recommend button” from LinkedIn and are logged into your LinkedIn account, LinkedIn is able to associate your visit to our website with you and your user account. We point out that we, as the provider of the pages, have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data and its use by LinkedIn. For more information, please see LinkedIn’s privacy policy at: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy
YOUTUBE
Our website uses plugins from Google’s YouTube site. This website is operated by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. If you visit one of our pages equipped with a YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. The YouTube server will be informed as to which of our pages you visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can associate your surfing behavior directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account. For more information on how user data is handled, please see YouTube’s privacy policy at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy.
INSTAGRAM BUTTONS
Buttons of the Instagram service are included on our pages. These functions are provided by Instagram Inc, 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA, 94107, USA. If you are logged into your Instagram account, you can link the contents of our pages to your Instagram profile by clicking the Instagram button. This allows Instagram to associate the visit to our pages with your user account. We would like to point out that, as the provider of these pages, we are not aware of the content of the data transmitted or how Instagram uses it. For more information, please see Instagram’s privacy policy: http://instagram.com/about/legal/privacy/.

You have the right to free information about your stored personal data – their origin and recipients and the purpose of data processing – as well as a right to correction, blocking or deletion of these data at any time. You can contact us at any time via the address of the website operator given in the imprint as well as for further questions on the subject of personal data.
